I have done some work a few years ago. Making a learning media for machinist about tobacco manufacturing machines. I’ve created the interactive media using Flash and it contains some video showing how the machines work. Lots of them are Conveyor Belt Machines. The animation isn’t much on detail, but really get to the point.
Basically it’s as simple as modeling the conveyor using Extruded Spline, then mapping them, and animating the map’s coordinate. After the model is done, we work on particle system animation. The easiest way to do this is using PFlow Source, built in 3dsmax version 8 and above (if I’m not mistaken. too much of them to remember).

im student of universiti teknologi malaysia in designing a thesis of further design of rubbish collector boat..
in parts of my thesis is design a collector that using a conveyor system methods..
i only have knowlegde in autocad..
but not in autodesk 3ds max..
so if u dont mind i would like u to teach me about it..
